The school season is about to begin soon, I'm pretty sure mommies are looking for ways to save some money when shopping for their kids' school needs especially their uniforms and school supplies.
Divisoria is one such area. You go there and it's the one-stop-shop for these needs. The prices are, of course, affordable which is why many would still flock there during Christmas (to buy cheap gifts for their inaanaks), weddings (this is also one of the hottest spots to shop for bridal entourage dresses and suits), and during school season. But, without a doubt, a huge chunk of those who go there to shop are businessmen (and women).
These entrepreneurial Pinoys brave the heat of the sun, the palit-mukha (crowded) streets, and even a possible snatching incident (hold on to those wallets and bags, ladies, this is a glaring truth that I am so ashamed to even mention).
But, hey, Divisoria is not just your physical Divisoria anymore...
Divisoria has long been synonymous with the word 'affordable'.
You've probably heard of online shopping before but did you know that Divisoria is also now accessible online?
Our business-minded kababayans (countrymen) have taken on the Internet and they're calling their shops Divisoria this and Divisoria that. Of course, it's much more convenient to do your shopping online. It has its ups and downs and it's up to you to set up the transaction in a way that both you and the seller end up happy.
I wasn't surprised that there are rules of engagement when you want to shop online.
I have yet to discover if there are also notebooks, ball pens, pencils, etc. online. But I am certain that there's a plethora of blouses, dresses, make-up, toys, and household items.
The question whether you would still go physically to Divisoria is still a matter of preference. Sellers have more options there but as a buyer, I believe it's time to weigh our options.
